We’re proud to announce that our CO₂-based heat pump for space heating is now officially Ecodesign certified, becoming the firstof its kind in the world to achieve this recognition for high-temperatureapplications.
This marks a major milestone in our mission to make heating and cooling more sustainable, efficient, and future-ready. The certification confirms that our system complies with the EU’s Eco-design Regulation 813/2013, meeting stringent requirements for seasonal energy efficiency, noise levels, and climate impact.
Our heat pump uses CO₂ (R744), a natural refrigerant with a global warming potential (GWP) of just 1. Combined with high operating temperatures and proven seasonal efficiency, the system provides a powerful alternative to fossil-based heating without compromising performance.
The certification process was completed in collaboration with RI.SE (Research Institutes of Sweden) and our manufacturing partner Rivacold.
“This isn’t just a label. It proves that natural refrigerants like CO₂ are ready for large buildings and demanding applications without compromising on sustainability or efficiency,” says Marius Hugo Sandem, CTO.
We believe high-performance CO₂ heat pumps should be the new standard for heating in commercial and industrial buildings. With this certification, we’re one step closer.
